It's been long stressed that sunscreen is critical to keep you from getting a painful, damaging sunburn while on holiday or just spending plenty of time outdoors.
But do our feet need sunscreen too?
Many people overlook sunscreen application on their feet,
Maybe because we wear shoes so often makes us forget that they may be exposed.
You should protect your bare feet during a sun exposure just as much as any other part of your body!
What is the best way to apply sunscreen to your feet?
It's pretty much the same as applying it anywhere else on the body!
Make sure to apply the sunscreen to the tops and bottoms of your feet.
However,
don’t apply it between the toes.
Between the toes, moisture can easily accumulate and get trapped, making that area more prone to fungal infections.
Timing is important when applying sunscreen anywhere on your body.
People often wait until just before they go outside in the sun to apply sunscreen, thinking that doing so beforehand will lessen its effectiveness. But that’s not the case!
It takes about 30 minutes for sunscreen to fully bind to the skin, so apply it earlier so it gets to work right away. You can always apply more sunscreen if the strength of your sunscreen runs out.
