Nail fungus (Onychomycosis)

Fungal toenail infections are a common foot health problem and can persist without ever causing pain. Many people don't realize they have a fungal nail problem and therefore don't seek treatment.
Characterised by a change in a toenail's colour is often considered nothing more than a discoloration. Left untreated, it can present serious problems.

Symptoms may include nail discoloration (yellowish-brown, or darker in color), foul smell, brittleness, loosening, thickening, or crumbling of the nail.
Debris may collect beneath the nail plate, white marks may frequently appear on the nail plate, and the infection is capable of spreading to other toenails, the skin, or even the fingernails.

Nail bed injury may make the nail more susceptible to all types of infection.
Those who suffer chronic diseases, such as diabetes, circulatory problems, or immune-deficiency conditions, are prone to fungal nails.

Treatment options:
Depending on the type and severity of the nail fungal destruction, over-the-counter liquid antifungal agents may not cure or prevent a fungal infection from recurring.
Topical or oral medication may need to be prescribed, and the infected nail matter debris may need to be removed by a process called debridement which we can assist you with in our clinic.

Stop Toenail Fungus with Laser Therapy at the Laser Nail Clinic!
Toenail fungus can be embarrassing and detrimental to your foot health.

How does laser treatment work?
Our state-of-the-art laser treatment is specified in detail here “Laser Treatment".
Here you will find information on the laser that Greg Robinson uses to eradicate annoying fungal nail infections. You will also find information on how this treatment is performed and why it works.

In severe nail fungal infection cases, surgical treatment may be required to remove the infected nail. Removal of a chronically infected, painful nail, which has not responded to any other treatment, permits the fungal infection to be cured and prevents the return of a deformed nail.

What caused my toenail fungus?
Click on the “Nail Fungal Disease - Cause” tab to learn about where toenail fungus comes from, how it grows, and where it thrives.

Before & After: The results can be seen!
Under the “Before/After” tab, you will find picture proof of nails that have been treated with laser therapy and are no longer infected, discoloured, nor ugly.
